East Cobb Week in Review, June 26-July 2

In case you missed them, the top headlines from another busy week.

1. -- The Cobb Citizens Oversight Committee issued its preliminary findings of its review of the county's financial picture, including a call to end furloughs.

2. -- At commissioner Joann Birrell's town hall meeting, Cobb officials expressed concerns over long-term furloughs; commission chairman Tim Lee reiterated an earlier point that the millage rate may be increased to end furloughs. 

3. -- The East Cobb school board member said he was eager to get beyond the "contentious" atmosphere of the past school year.
