East Cobb Christmas Week in Review

Rounding up a very busy holiday period of local headlines.

While you may have been away and busy with holiday celebrations, here's what's been happening in East Cobb during the last week. Sadly, they are not happy headlines.

1. John Kristofak arrested -- The man wanted for the death of his ex-wife was taken into custody early Thursday morning, five days after Donna Kristofak was stabbed in the garage of her East Cobb home.

2. Sid Williams dies -- The founder of Life University passed away Thursday at the age of 84. He transformed the Marietta campus into one of the largest chiropractic schools in the country and was an influential figure in Cobb.

3. Richard Hilton dies -- The coach of East Marietta's Little League World Series championship team in 1983 positively influenced the lives of many young boys for more than 40 years.

4. Teenage pedestrian dies -- Darion Elizabeth Hugh-Sam, a Lassiter High School graduate, died of injuries sustained as she was crossing Shallowford Road near Johnson Ferry Road in May.

5. Condo fire in East Cobb -- Residents in 10 units of the Willows by the River complex were displaced Thursday afternoon in a blaze that remains under investigation.
