Class Sizes for All Cobb County Schools

You can find class sizes, by grade level, for all Cobb County School District schools here (http://www.ccsd-advocate.org/issues/classSize/schoolStats).  The class sizes are organized by post, grade level, and then school.  You might notice that there are significant differences between schools.  While some differences are expected, many of the differences reveal inequities in the allotment process.

It would be worth while for you to read the information on how size is measured.  The district often provides averages or staff/student ratios that give little insight into the actual class room experiences of regular students.  The size measurement provided attempts to avoid that pitfall.  It would be also be useful to browse the rest of the web site. The web site provides a lot of general information on class sizes and allotments.

The data was compiled from the most recent class size data (November 1st) prepared by the district, affirmed as accurate by the superintendent, and communicated to the state.
