The gift that keeps on giving: LifeLine Animal Project

Put your eggnog down and listen up. While you brainstorm for the perfect present to give family and friends, LifeLine Animal Project wants you to consider giving a gift to help homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in Atlanta. Through Dec. 31, your donation will be doubled thanks to a Challenge Grant from Atlanta-based cosmetic brush and accessory firm Anisa International. The company, which has supported LifeLine since its inception, is matching all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000, through Dec. 31.

“We’re reissuing the Challenge Grant this year so LifeLine can continue aiding metro-Atlanta’s pet population,” said Anisa Telwar, president and founder of Anisa International.

Why LifeLine? The organization helps tens of thousands of animals in metro Atlanta who would otherwise die of disease, neglect or be euthanized. In fact, this year, LifeLine was awarded managing contracts for DeKalb and Fulton counties’ animal services, where it has already reduced euthanasia rates by half.

“In less than a year, we’ve been able to reduce the counties’ euthanasia rates significantly, but in order to eliminate the practice – LifeLine’s ultimate goal –  and continue the work we do throughout the area donations are greatly needed,” said Rebecca Guinn, executive director of LifeLine Animal Project.

LifeLine’s program expertise is sought out by animal shelters across the nation due to its success. Some of the other incredible work that LifeLine does in the community includes:
