Community Update

John Earl has joined Sterling Risk Advisors as a
broker.  He has more than 30 years of
experience in the surety and insurance business, with an exclusive focus on the
construction industry.

 



Previously he was with the Graham-Naylor Agency, which
merged with Sterling Risk Advisors in September 2013.  Earl’s insurance industry expertise includes
construction, real estate and surety.

He has worked with hundreds of contractors throughout
the southeast over his career and is active in a number of construction
organizations, including the Associated General Contractors (AGC), Associated Buildings
and Contractors (ABC) and the Georgia Utility Contractors Association (GUCA).
He has worked on several committees within these organizations, including
legislative, community outreach and management education.



Earl began his career in 1982 as a surety underwriter
for Reliance Surety Company and was the manager of their Atlanta office for
fifteen years. In 2000 he opened the Atlanta surety office for Atlantic Mutual
before joining Graham-Naylor in 2004.

He received his Masters of Business Administration in
Finance from Drexel University and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from
Pennsylvania State University.

Earl has been married to his wife Catharine for thirty
years and has two grown daughters. He lives in East Cobb.
