What Should Come After Chepe's?

There's vacant restaurant space at Woodlawn Square after the Mexican eatery closed earlier this month.

East Cobb has one less Mexican restaurant with the closing of Chepe's Grill on Johnson Ferry Road earlier this month.

The Canton-based Chepe's chain opened in the Woodlawn Square Shopping Center in early 2011, but the reasons for its closure were due to "overall under-performance."

Chepe's still has four other locations, including a restaurant on Shallowford Road in East Cobb.

So now there is anchor tenant space -- 4,880 square feet -- available in Woodlawn Square. The center is operated by East Cobb-based Retail Planning Corporation.

Located behind the free-standing Starbuck's Coffee location, the former Chepe's space is also near the Fresh Market at the end of one of East Cobb's busiest, and most diverse, retail centers.
