New Hyatt Regency Atlanta GM Has East Cobb Ties

He was once the general manager of the Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta Northwest.

The former general manager of the Hyatt Regency Suites Atlanta Northwest in East Cobb is returning to metro Atlanta area next month.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that Peter McMahon, currently the general manager of the Hyatt Regency San Antonio and Grand Hyatt San Antonio, will replace Joe Hindsley July 15 as general manager of the city’s second-largest hotel, the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.

Hindsley is leaving Atlanta for St. Louis, according to the paper.

McMahon, who still has a home in East Cobb, told the Atlanta Business Chronicle: "Joining Hyatt Regency Atlanta is a homecoming for me. I have served at almost every Hyatt hotel in Georgia and my children have been raised in the Atlanta area. It is an honor to return and replace a mentor and great friend Joe Hindsley."
