Get Crabs to Help Service Dog Organization

Some of the proceeds from the Crab Fest at The Wing Café and Tap House will go to the Paws for Life program.

An East Cobb restaurant celebrating its 19th year in the area is hosting an event this weekend that will benefit an organization which trains service dogs for veterans and disabled people.

The Wing Café and Tap House on Roswell Road in Marietta is hosting a Crab Fest on July 19 from 2 to 6 p.m. Proceeds from the Crab Fest will go to Animals Deserve Better's Paws for Life program.

Paws for Life trains puppies to become service dogs to aid veterans, and disabled people. The program also trains therapy dogs to provide aid and comfort to people in the hospital or those going through difficult physical therapy.

During Crab Fest, Paws for Life service dogs available for adoption will be at the restaurant, and Wing Café will pay the adoption fees for one of the animals. The restaurant will also give away several dog-themed prizes.
