Common Quarter Opens in East Cobb

Georgia coastal fare dominates the lunch and dinner menu.

The wait for one of East Cobb's most heavily-anticipated restaurant arrivals is over.

Common Quarter, operated by the four owners of the celebrated Vinings restaurant trio of Muss & Turner's, Eleanor's and Local Three, opened on Tuesday.

The restaurant is occupying the former Chepe's Grill space in Woodlawn Square Shopping Center, 1205 Johnson Ferry Road.

The restaurant specializes in Georgia coastal dishes with a neighborhood atmosphere, drawing from the menus of the partners' existing eateries.

Here's a first impression report from Grapes and Hops Atlanta.

In March, Chris Hall, one of the four partners in the venture, explained to Atlanta Magazine why they chose East Cobb

"We’ve decided to build great neighborhoods and become a part of that neighborhood rather than determine a concept in advance. Once we’ve chosen the neighborhood, we decide what will best serve that neighborhood. A lot of our friends are raising kids in East Cobb, and we want to be a part of that community."

Common Quarter's opening comes just ahead of the opening of the Stem Wine Bar by Seed Kitchen & Bar owner Doug Turbush.
