Cobb Chamber Holds Business After Hours Meeting

July 7 gathering includes members of 12 Cobb business associations.

The Cobb Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with 12 business associations in Cobb for what it calls a Summer J.A.M. (Joint Association Meeting) on Wednesday, July 7.

The event takes place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hilton Marietta Conference Center, 500 Powder Springs St., Marietta. 

Among those groups involved are the East Cobb Business Association, the Northeast Cobb Business Association and the Marietta Business Association

The event, which grew out of discussions in April, has been long in the minds of some county small business leaders who have wished forge closer ties and foster small business growth throughout Cobb. 

Members of those groups and others in Cobb are invited to enjoy complimentary food and drink while networking. The event includes live music and drawings for door prizes.

Online registration is free to members or $20 at the door. General admission to the public is $20 online and $30 at the door. Registration ends on Thursday at 12 p.m. For information click here

Tourism drives Cobb economy

A study commissioned by the Cobb Convention and Visitors Bureau claims that tourism is the largest industry in the county, with an impact of more than $1.73 billion. 

The main tourist attractions are the Six Flags Over Georgia and Whitewater amusement parks.
