The American Chamber of Commerce Executives highlighted the chamber's success in two areas.

The Cobb Chamber of Commerce was recognized last week as one of three finalists for Chamber of the Year honors from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.

President and CEO David Connell, an East Cobb resident, as well as vice presidents Amy Selby and Michele Bickerstaff accepted the award on Cobb's behalf Wednesday night at the American Chamber of Commerce Executives' annual convention in Oklahoma City.

Cobb went up against the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Lancaster, Pa., and the Salt Lake Chamber in Salt Lake City, Utah. Though Lancaster was named Chamber of the Year, Cobb members had reason to celebrate.

"The Cobb Chamber," officials wrote on the group's Facebook page, "also received recognition for New Member Dues and Number of New Members."
