Brazilian Festival Returns to East Cobb

The second event to coincide with the country's Independence Day takes place Sunday at Sal Grosso.

East Cobb is the home of a thriving Brazilian community that's holding a big celebration on Sunday.

The second annual Brazilian Day Festival takes place from 1-7 p.m. at the Sal Grosso Steak House, 1927 Powers Ferry Road.

According to the Global Atlanta website, the festival organizers are working with the Brazilian Consulate General of Atlanta and the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce to put on the event, which is being held in conjunction with Brazilian Independence Day.
