Underage Drinking Webinar is Thursday

The Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center is sponsoring an afternoon session for families and youth.

According to the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce, teens are more likely to be on the road this time of year and parents are cautioned that the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day has been labeled the "100 Deadliest Days" for teen drivers.

Statistics from the American Automobile Association indicate that an average of 399 teens died in traffic crashes during each of the summer months, compared to a monthly average of 346 teens during non-summer months.

The Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center will host an online webinar 3-4:15 p.m., Thursday, June 21, to provide families with skills to help keep teens safe. The webinar will discuss seven essential family skills, including communicating politely, setting boundaries, monitoring youth activities and using positive discipline.
