The taskforce invites all middle and high school-aged youth representing a school or community youth group in Cobb County to register to attend this event. This will be an exciting youth-facilitated leadership training/recruitment opportunity highlighting ways youth can educate and motivate adults to prevent underage and youth binge drinking.
Summit participants will plan a community service project to take place in spring of 2012. Planned projects will include taking part in a flashmob, filming public service announcements, spokesperson training among others. All projects will be presented during Global Youth Services Day (GYSD) in corporation with Cobb Community Collaborative .GYSD is the largest service event in the world, which celebrates millions of youth in over 120 countries.
The Youth Summit participants also earn community service hours, the opportunity to qualify for national conference attendance, community recognition, leadership training and free t-shirts and other branded items.
