East Cobb Man Held on Child Porn Charges

Todd Skrabanek, a music teacher and concert pianist, is being held without bond.

A music teacher who gives lessons to children throughout the metro Atlanta area is facing child pornography charges, according to Cobb Police.

Jay Todd Skrabanek, 46, whose home address is listed as being on Smokerise Circle in East Cobb, was arrested Wednesday on one count of possession and one count of distribution of child pornography, according to Sgt. Dana Pierce of Cobb Police.

Pierce said Skrabanek is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.

Skrabenek has been a piano accompanist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and with the choir of the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Decatur, among numerous musical associations in the Atlanta area.

A search warrant that was executed at Skrabanek's home produced evidence of possession and online distribution of child pornography, Pierce said.

According to an arrest warrant, Skrabanek allegedly sent an image of a man sodomizing a 1-year-old child to someone he did not know.

What Skrabanek did not know, police said, was that the recipient was an undercover officer.

Authorities also found at least two videos of children as young as 4 years old engaged in sex acts with men, according to the warrant.

In one of the videos, the 4-year-old cries as a man sodomizes the child, police said.

Anyone with information about children who may have had contact with Skrabanek is asked to call 770-801-3470.
