After several years at different religious institutions, Rebecca brings a wealth of new tools, skills and ideas to educate and engage students and their families. She looks forward to helping teachers find ways to encourage students to think critically and creatively as they develop their Jewish identities.

When asked why she became a Jewish educator, Rebecca says, “I was always awed by the wisdom that our ancient tradition has to offer us for living in today’s world. I believe this wisdom is a gift that has been passed down to us and feels blessed by the opportunity to share it with young people.”

Temple Kol Emeth president Sherri Parman says, “Parents like me are looking to create an enduring lifelong Jewish journey for our children and for our entire family. From a nationwide search that attracted over 20 candidates, Rebecca most impressed the search committee with her wealth of new tools, skills and programs to educate and connect our students along with their families. Her passion and commitment is to do so in fun, experiential and engaging ways for all students. She will bring programs that not only teach Judaic, but also teaches us how to connect Judaic values to our daily lives. Our congregation is already showing its confidence in Rebecca's leadership of the school with growing registration numbers and a record number of madrichim, or student teachers, wanting to be a part of this promising and enriching journey.”
