Walton Student Stars in 'Brighton Beach Memoirs'

Two East Cobbers are part of the cast of a local production of Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs" that concludes this week.

Griffin Ingraham, a Walton High School student, and Johnna Mitchell have starring roles in the Act3 Playhouse presentation of what's considered Simon's most autobiographical work.

Ingraham plays Eugene Jerome, a 15-year-old Polish-Jewish boy growing up in Brooklyn during the Great Depression.

Morris is cast as his mother, Kate Jerome.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Jan. 31-Feb. 1, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 2.

Tickets range from $10 to $23 and may be purchased at www.act3productions.org.

The Act3 Playhouse is located at 6285-R Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
