Spring Break Artscape! Registration Underway

Spring break is almost here, and the spring session of East Cobb Park's Artscape! classes for children has only a few openings.

Registration is underway now for the spring session, which takes place from Tuesday April 9 through Thursday, April 11 by age group: 

• Tuesday, April 9: 4-8 years (sold out);
• Wednesday, April 10: 8-13 years;
• Thursday, April 11: Family class (all ages).

The theme is "In the Park with Monet," and children will paint an acrylic painting on an 8x10 canvas of East Cobb Park's bridge in the style of Claude Monet's Japanese bridge in his garden at Giverny and learn about the French, Impressionist painter who lived from 1840-1926.

Younger children will discuss the book The Magical Garden of Claude Monet by Laurence Anholt. Classes are held between 3-4 p.m. at East Cobb Park's outdoor classroom. All classes are $18 for each child.
