Reservations are required by Wednesday for the joint appearance by Patti Callahan Henry and Charles Martin.

From a release sent by the Book Exchange:

May 16th at 6:30 pm: Book Exchange will host a reception for two popular, NYTimes bestselling Southern authors, Patti Callahan Henry and Charles Martin, to celebrate their latest releases.

Author of nine books and an e-original non-fiction short story, Henry’s And Then I Found You release date is April 9. The story chronicles the experiences of Kate Vaughan, a woman with long-held secrets who is no stranger to tough choices. “And Then I Found You is Henry at her best,” says author Joshilyn Jackson, “brimming with heart and compassionate wisdom." Kate’s story is “moving and beautifully written,” adds Mary Alice Monroe.

Author of eight books, one currently being developed into a movie, Martin’s latest, Unwritten, will be out on May 7, and his 2012 book, Thunder and Rain, became available in paperback on April 7. “From the Florida Everglades to the hills of France, Martin takes the reader on a magical journey of two troubled souls in search of love and redemption.

Unwritten is a page-turner and has all the ingredients to become a box office smash,” says writer Michael Morris. “Charles Martin understands the power of story and he uses it to alter the souls and lives of both his characters and his readers,” says author Patti Callahan Henry. That ability may be why Martin’s books hold equal appeal both to those who read general fiction and to those who read Christian fiction.
