Winter Cooking Events at The Cook's Warehouse

Specialty cooking classes also will be offered at the Merchant's Walk location.

Several special events involving chefs and cookbook authors will take place at The Cook's Warehouse in East Cobb this winter. 

Hiroko Shimbo, author of "Hiroko's American Kitchen: Cooking with Japanese Flavors," will be visiting on Wednesday, Jan. 29. 

Two days later, on Friday, Jan. 31, Chef Gino Noci, of Trattoria l' Cche' c'è c'ê in Florence, Italy, will make an appearance.

On Sunday, Feb. 23, the special guest will be Judith Fertig, author of "200 Fast and Easy Artisan Breads: No-Knead, One Bowl" and "I Love Cinnamon Rolls!"

Chef George Geary, contest judge, TV chef and author of nine cookbooks, will come on Friday, March 28. 

The East Cobb store also will continue to conduct Simple Abundance classes to benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank:

  • Chef Woody Back of Table & Main, Valentine's Dinner from the Farmer's Market, 7-9 p.m. Feb. 10;
  • Chef Chris Hall of Muss & Turner's, Local Three Kitchen & Bar and Common Quarter, Of Cabbage & Potatoes - A Modern Take on Traditional Irish Classics, 7-9 p.m., March 17.

In addition, continuing classes dedicated to holiday cooking, specific cuisines, kids and lifestyle classes, technique and skill-based classes are being offered.
