Walton Student Recognized by Girl Scouts

Senior Lindsey Carbo was named a "Journey Girl" during the Atlanta Council's 100th anniversary Green Gala.

Lindsey Carbo, a senior at , was recognized as one of the Journey Girls for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta at last Saturday night’s Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary celebration, the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Green Gala. 

She is an Ambassador Girl Scout who is passionate about water conservation education and for her Gold Award project (the highest honor bestowed on a Girl Scout) created a program called “Reduce Our Use,” which involved performing an extensive water audit and producing an instructional manual/presentation to teach the community about global water issues.   

The Green Gala was a green-tie tribute celebrating a century of developing the next generation of women leaders. The event was at the Grand Atrium Ballroom of 200 Peachtree with The Coca Cola Company as presenting sponsor.
