Time to Order Girl Scout Cookies

The wait won't be long now for Tagalongs, Do-si-dos and Thin Mints.

Been craving Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs?

It's time for Girl Scout cookie sales. The 42,000 girls of the 3,500 troops of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta began taking cookie orders Saturday. Order your boxes for $3.50 each in time for delivery Feb. 11-17.

Girl Scout cookie booths will open on Feb. 17 and cookie sales wrap up in April.

Be on the lookout for a special cookie, Savannah Smiles, to commemorate the Girl Scouts' 100th Year Anniversary this year. The cookie has a tart lemon flavor.

Girl Scouts Cookies? There's an App For That

This year, the girls will be armed with mobile credit card machines, and just so that you won't miss them, they have unrolled a Girl Scout Cookie locator app for iPhone and Android.

You can find a cookie booth (once they open on Feb. 7) nearby, using the phone's GPS locator, or search by city or ZIP code. Additionally, you can map a route to the cookie booth once located or share the results with a friend.

And remember, if you are on a diet and don't want them around the house, Girl Scouts will be happy to donate any cookies you purchase to a worthy group, such as USO, food pantries, etc. Go Girl Scouts!

When my daughter was a Girl Scout, I started buying AT LEAST 10 boxes to give to my patients and referral partners. EVERY business should buy Girl Scout cookies to give out to their customers. EVERYBODY loves Girl Scout cookies and VERYBODY that gets a box from you will LOVE you!
