Two other company officials also have pleaded guilty and, like Nagle, are cooperating with prosecutors against a former civilian Navy employee accused of receiving payoffs from the contractors.

The graduate who serves as president of the student government at the College of Charleston has survived an impeachment effort sparked by comments offensive to women, blacks, gays and others he made through his personal Twitter account. Ross Kressel, 21, of East Cobb apologized and said he has never been more embarrassed, the Charleston Post and Courier reported. The newspaper said the Student Government Association voted 15-14 to impeach Kressel, falling short of the two-thirds majority necessary to remove him. The senior political science major receives almost $10,000 to serve as president, The Post and Courier said. It’s not clear whether his unforgivable fanaticism for the New York Yankees came up during the Twitter controversy.

5. All of the varsity high school sports action for East Cobb today takes place on the softball fields in the neighborhood of , which is hosting the Warrior Classic.
