SafePath Participates in Georgia Gives

This week's festivities include a Friday open house at the Marietta center.

Georgia Gives Day is Thursday, and the SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center of Cobb will be participating.

The purpose of Georgia Gives Day is to bring the state together as one community, to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Georgia nonprofits within a 24-hour, flash mob of giving on the website www.GAgivesday.org.

The initiative, which was officially declared Georgia Gives Day by Gov. Nathan Deal, provides citizens across the state with an easy platform to recognize nonprofits across a variety of sectors for their invaluable efforts.

To quote Karen Beavor, President and CEO of the Georgia Center for Nonprofits (the organization presenting Georgia Gives Day), “Nonprofits touch nearly every part of our lives. We are very excited to give Georgians an opportunity to truly recognize the nonprofit organizations in their community and give where they live.”
