What's happening in and around East Cobb this weekend? Our Get Out guide has some quick and easy ideas.

-- What's happening under the Gold Dome? Three East Cobb-area lawmakers are holding a at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mountain View Community Center, 3400 Sandy Plains Road.

Sen. Judson Hill and Rep. John Carson, both East Cobb Republicans, and Sen. Chip Rogers of Woodstock, the Senate majority leader, will update constituents on the Georgia General Assembly session thus far. 

-- The Wheeler and Walton wrestling teams are competing close to home in the Region 5AAAAA sectional meet that concludes Saturday at Marietta High School. Pope is competing in a sectional meet at Northside High School in Columbus. It's the last tuneup before next weekend's state championships.

Saturday's competition resumes at 8:30 a.m., with finals starting at 2 p.m. 

-- The Pope, Walton and Wheeler swimming teams continue competing on Saturday in the Georgia High School Association state championships at Georgia Tech.

The competition on Saturday starts at 9 a.m. and culminates with Class AAAAA swimming finals that begin at 6 p.m. 

-- If board games are your thing, then the Congregation Etz Chaim's annual on Sunday might be just for you. 

The event lasts from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for experienced players, who need to bring their 2011 cards. If you're a novice, there's also a "Stress-Free Beginner's Seminar." 

The cost is $25, which benefits the Etz Chaim preschool, and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place finishes. 

-- For those wishing for an affordable way to treat their sweetheart, East Cobb's Sacred Tapestry UMC ministry will hold its Valentine Dinner and Dance Sunday at 6 p.m. 

The cost is $10 per person for the event, and reservations are required. Child care will be available at $5 per child, with a pizza dinner.
