Incarnation Lutheran Gets New Pastor

Dr. Rev. Ben Moravitz is the founder of Marietta Pastoral Counseling Center.

East Cobb's Lutheran Church of the Incarnation recently welcomed a new head pastor.

Dr. Rev. Ben Moravitz had been with the Marietta Pastoral Counseling Center, which he founded, and he accepted the call to the East Cobb faith community in September.

Previously he served as the pastor at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Goose Creek, S.C.

Moravitz and his family have lived in East Cobb since 1996. His grown children, son Joe and daughter Bess, were involved in the choral and band programs at Lassiter High School

Moravitz is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, S.C., and earned a doctor of theology in pastoral counseling at the Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur.

Incarnation is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Located at 1200 Indian Hills Parkway, the church offers a Sunday worship service at 11 a.m.

Sunday school classes begin at 10, as does adult choir. Fellowship takes place at noon after the Sunday worship.
