Honoring Those Who Have Fallen

An East Cobb youngster visits the Marietta National Cemetery to learn about Memorial Day.

Many thanks to East Cobb Patch reader Stacey Freedman Youman for passing along these photos of her son Jake as he visited the Marietta National Cemetery in preparation for Monday's Memorial Day observance.

Jake, a Cub scout with Troop 121 at East Cobb's Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, was among a number of boy and girl scouts who placed flags on graves on Saturday.

Monday's event at the Marietta cemetery begins at noon.
