Celebrate Bastille Day at the Movies

Here's what you need to know to start the day July 14.

1. It still will feel like a steam room outside today on Bastille Day, but the high will be only 92, the National Weather Service says. There’s a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, and a 30 percent chance overnight, when the low will be about 74. The front moving through will mark a break in the weather: The high Friday will be in the lower 80s.

2. It’s another good day to stay inside and, say, watch a movie, and the East Marietta Library helps at 3:30 with its free Filmfest. Call 770-509-2711 for more information.

3. The new Vinings Church holds its free weekly outdoor event at 8:30 tonight, weather permitting. Tonight’s outdoor screening at the Cobb Galleria Centre is scheduled to be Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, in which Indy (Harrison Ford) and his dad (Sean Connery) try to beat the Nazis to the Holy Grail.

5. A familiar East Cobb voice has found a new home in Connecticut.
