Why go: Relive the story of The Diary of Anne Frank as you've never seen it before! Performances are this weekend and next weekend at Act 3 Playhouse in the rear of Sandy Springs Plaza.

How much: Adult $15.00; Student/Senior (65+) $10.00. Buy Tickets online (online service charges will apply) or at Act 3 Playhouse.


When/Where: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at , 6110 Blue Stone Rd NE

Why go: As a part of the 30-day celebration of Arts in Sandy Springs called ArtSSpring, Lawnaroo is an evening of live music, food, beverages and festivities at the Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn. An all-ages show that will feature four live bands, proceeds of Lawnaroo will benefit the fine arts, music and sports programs at Ridgeview Charter School.

How much: Tickets are $24 in advance and $30 day of show.  Tickets can be purchased online.   


When/Where: 5K at 8 a.m., 2K Fun Run/Walk at 9:30 a.m., Tot Trot (ages 5 & under) at 10 a.m.; picnic at 11:30 a.m., Sunday May 1 at Concourse Office Park, 4 Concourse Pkwy NE

Why go: The 17th Annual Lauren’s Run and CURE Childhood Cancer Annual Picnic, features games and plenty of great food. Bring the family for a day of fun. Lauren’s Run was founded in 1992 in memory of Lauren Zagoria, a two-year old from Atlanta with big, golden curls, and continuing also in memory of Lauren Kochman, 3-year-old with, who lost her battle with neuroblastoma just before the first Lauren’s Run took place. Since it’s beginnings, Laruen’s Run has raised more than $3 million for pediatric cancer research.

How much: Online Registration through 5 p.m. today. Adults: $20, $25 on race day, Children 12 & Under: $15. If you are not a walker or runner or cannot attend the race, you can still participate as a Phantom Runner for $25 and you will be mailed a t-shirt after race day.


When/Where: 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturdays at 235 Sandy Springs Cir NE (parking lot of the former Target at Johnson Ferry Rd and Sandy Springs Circle)

Why go: The Sandy Springs Farmers Market is in its second year and only its second week, but it is not to be missed. With over 55 vendors selling everything from honey, jams and sauces to cheeses, meats and pasta, the market runs weekly through December. Fresh baked goods and a variety of breakfast/brunch/lunch foods and samples are available.

How much: Entrance is free.


When/Where: 7 p.m. to 8:30 pm. Sunday at , 6110 Blue Stone Rd NE (Entertainment Lawn)

Why go: Held one Sunday evening each month, May through September, the Concert by the Springs outdoor, summer concert series is free and open to the public. The series starts on May 1, with A-Town A-List performing. Table seating for six is available for rental. Concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early and picnic with family and friends. Gates open at 5 p.m. Blankets and coolers are welcomed; no outside tables please. Pets and smoking are not allowed. Parking is available on Sandy Springs Place in designated parking lots and in the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church’s Hitson Activity Center lot, on Sandy Springs Circle.

How much: Free.
