A healthy eating demo at Whole Foods is featured on a plentiful menu of weekend fun.

Essential Cobb happenings for the weekend:

1. Run a race and enjoy food, beverages and music at the Walton Raider Chase/2011 East Cobb 5K Road Race on Saturday. Awards for top finishers.  $20 advance registration at Big Peach Running Co. or www.active.com. Race day registration and race number pick 7 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m.  located at 1590 Bill Murdock Road.

2. East Cobb Whole Foods is offering a variety of weekend events that will tempt your palate. Friday sample a variety of wines from around the world from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday enjoy a cooking demonstration at 2 p.m. Attend the "Health Starts Here" workshop on Sunday at 1 p.m. East Cobb Whole Foods is located in the Merchant’s Walk shopping center at 1311 Johnson Ferry Road.

3. Enjoy something unique Friday night.... the 3rd Annual Trilogy Trolley Crawl-European Style. Visit Paris, London and Rome at Bulloch Hall, Barrington Hall and Smith Plantation respectively, and enjoy music, food and entertainment Friday from 7 - 11 p.m. $18 pass includes food samples at each home, transportation between the homes via trolley, one drink ticket and unlimited entertainment. Tickets may be purchased at any of the homes or at the Roswell Visitors Center, 617 Atlanta Street, Roswell. For more information, call 678-639-7500.

4. Martinis and Music, with music provided by Bert Reeves, happens Friday from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Free for members. $8 includes access to all exhibition, live musical entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, 30 Atlanta Street SE, Marietta. 5. Looking for fresh produce, plants for landscaping, and tasty treats? Stop by the Marietta Square Farmers Market. 60+ vendors featuring home grown vegetables, cheese, bread, eggs, fresh flowers, local honey, baked goods and milk will set up on Mill Street between the corner of Church and West Park Square and running down to the railroad tracks. Free parking all day in the two county parking decks. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Rain or shine. Historic Downtown Marietta.
