Free to Be Ministries will open its Spiritual doors in Cobb County

“For Whom the Son has set free is free indeed” John 8:36

Free to Be Ministries is a ministry dedicated to the Spiritual growth and development of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Community in Cobb County and surrounding counties. Rev. Rawls has been serving the community since 1986 and relocated to Georgia in 2009. God has directed her to this time and place to create a spiritual, safe space where we can worship in Spirit and in Truth. Free to Be Ministries will be a safe place to develop a spiritual relationship with Jesus the Christ and explore their call to ministry. We will encourage people to be the individual God created them to be, without apology. God did not create GLBT persons to hate themselves!

Free to Be Ministries is also a Social Justice Ministry which will work to support the whole person and not just the spiritual person. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Any religion that professes to be concerned about the souls of men and is not concerned about the slums that damn them, the economic conditions that strangle them and the social conditions that cripple them is a spiritually moribund religion awaiting burial"

Rev. NaDine Rawls was recently interviewed by South Cobb Patch in response to President Obama’s recent announcement in support of marriage equality. The entire article can be accessed via the accompanying link and please feel free to leave your comments.

Free to Be Ministries is building from the beginning, all races, genders, talents are welcome. If you would like to be a part of the opening service, please email Rev. Rawls at revrawls@live.com.

We look forward to worshiping and growing with you and setting Cobb County FREE. “For whom the Son has set free, is free indeed.” And you ARE free.
