Dancing with Daddy for Valentine's Day

1. Mother and Daughter Fitness Day

Date: Saturday, Feb. 12

Time: 9 a.m -- 2 p.m

Price: $15 adults, $10 chilren. Half price for second sibling. Group discounts available.

More than 1,500 mothers and daughters are expected to participate in this health and wellness fundraising event that will offer  intergenerational bonding experience between mothers, daughters and grandmothers. 

This event features simple ways that a family fitness plan combines fun games and physical activities with nutritious eating tips to encourage a partnership and commitment toward healthy living. Proceeds will benefit Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta Sporting Chance® and Friendly PEERsuasion® programs.

2. Daddy Daughter Dance

Date: Sunday, Feb. 13

Time: 2:30 p.m. -- 5 p.m. 

Location: Mansour Center, 995 Roswell St., Marietta 

Price: Tickets are $30 for couples, $5 for extra daughters, and reservations are required.

Marietta-area fathers and their daughters ages 5-12 years old love to attend the city's annual Daddy Daughter Dance!

3. Toddler Storytime, East Cobb Library 

Date: Every Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:15-10:45 a.m.

4. The Fantasticks at The Art Place

Dates: Feb. 18-19, Feb. 24-26

Time: 8 p.m.

Location: The Art Place-Mountain View, 3330 Sandy Plains Road

Price: $12

 Center Stage North Theater's production of "The Fantasticks" centers on how two fathers decide that they want their children to fall in love. The girl, Luisa, is a daydreamer with an active imagination. The boy, Matt, is a romantic. The two fathers decide to instigate a mock feud amongst themselves in order to help the boy and girl fall in love. They figure that this feud will give them the excuse to say no to the relationship, which of course will simply encourage the children's love even more.
