Planning Commission Tells Isakson Living to Rework Plans

On Tuesday, the Cobb Planning Commission told Atlanta-based Isakson Living to rework its plans for a senior living space in East Cobb.

The developers are now set to return in September with a reduced number of units and a height reduction for the project slated for a site adjacent to East Cobb Park.

Isakson Living has been seeking to rezone from low-density residential on 53.7 acres on Roswell Road to build a $200 million senior living facility.

After the original proposal had 987 units, an attorney who represented both the developer and the owner of the property, Wylene Tritt, said on Tuesday the newest site plan called for a total of 748 units.

But Planning Commission Chairman Mike Terry said another site plan revision was in order, one with no more than 500 units.
