The is a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter in East Cobb, and today continues its special fee-waived cat adoption promotion for two days only from 1-4 p.m.

The shelter is located at 736 Johnson Ferry Road, in the Fountains of Olde Towne Shopping Center.

As part of the national Fresh Step/ASPCA Fee-Waived Cat Adoption Campaign, and in support of National Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month, Good Mews’ “Let’s Hear it for the Boys!” weekend features male cats over nine months of age. As with all Good Mews cats, these special, fee-waived cats have been neutered, have received necessary vaccinations and are micro-chipped.  The regular adoption fee is $125.

Although the adoption fee is waived during the promotional weekend, all other adoption policies remain in effect. Good Mews adoption counselors conduct vigorous interviews with potential adopters to ensure a suitable fit for both human and feline. In partnership with the ASPCA, Good Mews is one of only two area shelters to participate in the “Meet Your Match” program, which establishes a personality profile for each cat so that adopters can determine if the cat is a good fit for their household.
