FaithBridge Foster Care to Hold Community Conversations on Foster Care Crisis

ALPHARETTA (July 8, 2013) – FaithBridge Foster Care, a Christ-centered foster care placement agency, invites area leaders to join a community conversation about the Cobb County foster care crisis on July 17 at Liberty Church in Marietta.

The event, which targets pastors, DFCS workers, potential foster care parents and others, will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church at 1285 Cobb Parkway N., Marietta, Ga. 30062.

“We want to engage community leaders in foster care ministry provide an overview of the FaithBridge Community of Care model and share its impact on Cobb families and children,” said Bill R. Hancock, co-founder and CEO of FaithBridge. “Foster care is a large problem, but the Christian community is even bigger. Churches can partner with established agencies like FaithBridge and together, we can provide a safe, stable solution to the needs of hurting children and families.”

Right now, there are about 278 children in foster care in Cobb and not nearly enough loving homes. There are more than 280 churches in Cobb that could potentially partner with agencies to find children foster homes.
