 theater based in Sandy Springs\, will present Legally Blonde the Musical
 \, the award-winning musical comedy based on the popular MGM movie of th
 e same name\, Nov. 2-3\, 9-11 and 16-17.&nbsp\; Performances are 8 p.m. 
 Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sunday\, November 11 at the Act3 Playho
 use\, 6285-R Roswell Road\, Sandy Springs (in Sandy Springs Plaza behind
  Trader Joe&rsquo\;s).&nbsp\; Tickets are $15 for students and $23 for a
 dults and may be purchased at www.act3productions.org or by calling 770-
 241-1905.\nLegally Blonde the Musical is a fun frolic through sorority l
 ife and law school with everyone&rsquo\;s favorite coed\, Elle Woods.&nb
 sp\; The show stars East Cobb resident Maggie Taylor\, a two-time winner
  of the Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Award for best actress in a musical
 .&nbsp\; The show premiered on Broadway in 2007\, where it received seve
 ral Tony Award nominations\, 10 Drama Desk nominations and won the Laure
 nce Olivier Award for Best New Musical.&nbsp\; Music and lyrics are by L
 aurence O&rsquo\;Keefe and Nell Benjamin and the book is by Heather Hatc
 h.\nTaylor is not the only Marietta resident in the show\, Walton High S
 chool students Ian Kelso and Katie Weinstein\, Pope student Sarah Rose G
 lazer and Pebblebrook Student Rachel Biddle are featured in ensemble rol
 es.&nbsp\; One of the production&rsquo\;s canine stars\, Bailey who port
 rays Elle&rsquo\;s dog Bruiser\, also hails from Marietta.&nbsp\; Bailey
  is owned by Act3 choreographer Johnna Mitchell.\n&ldquo\;We have a dyna
 mic cast of over 30 actors\, including 10 high school students from 9 di
 fferent area high schools\,&rdquo\; said Patti Mactas\, artistic directo
 r of Act3 and director of the production.&nbsp\; &ldquo\;Act3 Production
 s&rsquo\; foundation was built on working with youth in East Cobb\, but 
 now\, as the most award-winning community theater in Atlanta\, we are br
 inging young people and adults together to learn from each other.&nbsp\;
  In addition to performances\, we offer classes to help young actors pre
 pare for auditions outside of their own school&rsquo\;s productions\, wh
 ere the competition might be more intense.&rdquo\;
