Michelle - Thank you for this. I'm the director of internal communications at Piedmont Healthcare,Read Morea nd early Wednesday morning when we knew we had many Piedmont employees still stuck on the roads, we sent a message to all leaders with your site information to pass along to all they were communicating with. I don't know if any of our employees were helped through SnowOutAtlanta, but I know that Piedmont couldn't have created anything as effective with as much reach as what you had already done. Thank you for stepping up and uniting Atlanta during a difficult time. Elisabeth Wang

What a mess on Hembree trying to get to and from Pope. The admin folks did not handle it well.

My son was dismissed at Dodgen at 2:15. He called from his friend's phone when he was getting onRead Moreth e bus at 3:40. An hour later they were on Roswell Rd. near Home Depot! He said the bus driver wanted the parents to meet the bus at McDonald's at Old Canton to take the kids home. We couldn't get there and back with so many cars stuck not being able to get up the hill on Old Canton so we told him to stay with the bus. Half an hour later I called his friend & was told that my son had left with an unknown neighborhood dad and his son! The bus driver apparently asked that dad to take his son and two others. At that point I didn't know where my son was or who he was with because his friend with a phone had stayed on the bus! About 15 min. later my son called from that neighbor dad's phone. The dad's car got stuck after turning left onto Brookcliff (when he saw the cars stuck on Old Canton) and because he doesn't know the area, they were walking towards Holly Springs! As they were walking up Holly Springs a woman invited them into her house to warm up and my son called. At that point my husband was able to go to her house and pick up the dad and all the kids. They didn't get home until 6:40. Obviously the bus driver didn't know what to do but he had no business sending my son home with someone we don't know!
