Wheeler Student with Gun Identified
Christopher Taylor Bradwell, 17, was one of two students arrested in a Friday incident on campus.
One of two Wheeler High School students arrested Friday for bringing unloaded weapons to school has been identified.
Both WSB-TV and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday afternoon that one of the students is Christopher Taylor Bradwell, 17, of a Spectrum Circle address in Marietta.
He was charged by Cobb Police with possession of a weapon at a school, having a gun with altered markings and possession of a weapon by a minor.
The AJC report said a .25-caliber Phoenix Arms Raven handgun was found in Bradwell's jacket pocket when he was taken into custody at the East Cobb campus, and that the weapon's serial number had been scratched off.
Bradwell was released on a $16,720 bond on Saturday morning after being booked on Friday afternoon, according to Cobb Sheriff's Office records.
The second student has not been identified.
East Cobb Patch reported earlier Monday that Wheeler principal David Chiprany notified the school community over the weekend that a student tip led to the arrests and the confiscation of two guns without incident.
According to the WSB-TV report, Bradwell's mother said the other student brought the guns to school and asked her son to hold the pistol, which she says was broken.
According to Cobb schools policy, both students will be expelled.

This kid was arrested earlier this month for theft. He should not have been allowed to post bail
