Defense is a mantra that many coaches repeat many times to their defensive units.
In the GHSA 5A Boys Lacrosse Championship game at Harrison High School, the Walton Raiders got an outstanding performance in the cage from goalie Michael Harper, while the remaining members of the Raider squad played a tough, gritty defense that shut down the Harrison offense for three quarters.
Defense was the name of the game from the first face-off, with neither team able to put any points on the board in the first quarter. But the Raiders put up five goals in the second quarter to take a 5-0 lead into halftime.
The Hoyas' first score came early in the fourth quarter, as Regan Farmer fired a shot from the top of the box. Harrison mounted a comeback late, scoring three of the games final four goals, but the Hoyas eventually fell to the Raiders, 8-4.

It was the most incredible game! Most of these boys have been striving for this since they were in 5th grade and it is amazing to see them reach their goal!!!
