After a rousing win over Brookwood at the Corky Kell Classic to start the season, Walton High School has another formidable opponent Friday as the Raiders turn their attention to more local competition. 

The Raiders, ranked No. 3 in Class AAAAAA, also stay on the road to play McEachern in an East Cobb-West Cobb doubleheader that also features 4th-ranked Lassiter vs. Hillgrove. 

The Lassiter game begins at 6 p.m.; the Walton-McEachern kickoff is slated for 8:30 p.m. Both games will be televised on Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Walton's Tyren Jones is coming off another sterling effort, as he rushed for 302 yards and five touchdowns against Brookwood. McEachern lost 31-12 to defending state champion Grayson at the Corky Kell Classic but played well into the second half.
