The National Charity League, Inc., Gardenia Chapter recently honored their graduating high school seniors, including from Walton High School, for their commitment and service to the community at a formal senior presentation held at Olde Towne Athletic Club in East Cobb.
The mission of National Charity League is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
The Gardenia Chapter is a relatively new chapter serving East Cobb, East Cherokee and Roswell. The 250 or more members currently serve 13 local philanthropies and contributed more than 5,100 volunteer hours from April 1, 2011 – March 31, 2012.
According to Donna Lee, President of the Gardenia Chapter, “We are very proud of our 21 remarkable senior girls who will be graduating from five area high schools in the coming weeks including Roswell High School on May 18, Blessed Trinity High School on May 19, Greater Atlanta Christian on May 24, Walton High School on May 24, and The Kings Academy on June 2. The experience of being an active member of National Charity League has provided them with a wonderful foundation in community service and has given them the skills and confidence they need to take on leadership roles within their chosen college campuses and communities.”
