Walton, Pope Volleyball Meet Again
East Cobb powerhouses and defending state champions will square off in a Saturday match at Marist.
The Walton High School volleyball team will play its first game of the season Saturday ranked No. 1 in the largest classification in Georgia.
Their nearby rivals at Pope High School are 6-1 on the season, and ranked No. 2 in the second-largest classification.
When they meet one another Saturday at the Marist Play Date event, the match will once again illustrate the dominance of these two East Cobb schools.
The Lady Raiders have five seniors returning from their 2011 team that downed Cobb rival Harrison in the state finals in Marietta last fall. It was a repeat for Walton, which is in the newly designated Class AAAAAA
In the preseason Prep Country/Georgia Athletic Association Coaches poll, Walton tops Harrison, with North Cobb ranked fourth.
Four seniors return at Pope, which is No. 2 in the Class AAAAA poll and is attempting a fourth consecutive state title. The Lady Greyhounds won their first six matches of the season before falling to No. 1 Whitewater last weekend.
The volleyball team at Wheeler High School got its season underway on Tuesday in a loss to Creekview. The Lady Wildcats, who were 6-17 last year, will compete against Norcross and Campbell Saturday in the North Cobb Warrior Classic.

Democracy Tax
There are no Democracy costs for the Products of China.
For all products from China, we should have China pay Democracy Tax to America, because price competition has to be fair.
Democracy costs too much, and the costs of democracy such as the election and division of the three powers are added on all products from toothbrushes to cars.
The cause of the recession and unemployment lies in the Communist China.
