Taste of East Cobb Award Winners

Food festival attendees rated Seed, Red Sky and Keegan's among their favorites. What were yours.

Attendees at the Taste of East Cobb food festival on May 5 have voted with their palates -- and their stomachs -- for their favorite fare. And they are:

Best Taste: Seed Kitchen & Bar
Best Dessert: Keegan's Public House
Best Value: Seed Kitchen & Bar
Friendliest Service: Baked
Most Likely to Visit: Red Sky Tapas
Highest Sales: Georgia Rib Company

While Red Sky and Georgia Rib Company are familiar to East Cobb diners, and Seed opened last fall to wide public acclaim, the honor for Keegan's is worth noting.

The proprietors of an Irish pub by the same name in Kennesaw opened their East Cobb location last month in the former Shaughnessy's Pub space in Shallowford Corners.

Their winning dessert was the Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding, which we can vouch for as a dessert to remember.

Taste of East Cobb was great. The Seed Slider was amazing and a good value at the event however the prices at the restaurant are high. I also think the Bison sliders and Crab Cakes from Ted's were great and we liked the calzone from Bella Italia very much. Great event. Thank you organizers!
