Q & A: Seed Owner Doug Turbush

Seed Kitchen & Bar has been a part of the East Cobb dining scene cuisine for 16 months.
"The menu has evolved seasonally (since the opening)," Doug Turbush, owner and chef at Seed, explained of the modern American neighborhood restaurant located at Merchant's Walk.
Turbush was educated at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y. and has worked in Bangkok, Thailand, Minneapolis and Atlanta. He has lived in East Cobb for 13 years.
"We will open Stem Wine Bar right next door this Spring!" Turbush said.
Turbush & Chef de Cuisine Brendan Keenan have created a European inspired seasonal small plates menu emphasizing creative food and wine pairings.
Sommelier Jason Raymond will teach wine classes and lead the wine program offering over 40 boutique wines by the glass from around the globe.

Turbush: It's a modern American chef-driven restaurant.

Turbush: Modern, sleek, vibrant.
Patch: Do you have a signature dish?
Turbush: North Carolina Flounder with Caramelized Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower and Thai Herb Vinaigrette.

Turbush: Bold flavors and impeccable service

Turbush: Sweet Potato Ravioli.

Turbush: It never sleeps, nor do you.
