Purim is celebrated anually with the reading of the Book of Ester (Megillah).  Traditions include wearing costumes, eating triangular shaped cookies called Hammentashen, and shaking noise-makers (groggers).

The "Cool Cats" students at East Cobb's Congregation Etz Chaim recently took part in the observance, which celebrates the Jews being saved from extermination in ancient Persia.
