Portion of Robinson Road Closed
The road is closed between Roswell Road East and the entrance to Fullers Park due to downed power lines and a broken utility pole from Wednesday's storm.
Wednesday night's severe thunderstorm in East Cobb shut down a portion of Robinson Road this morning.
The portion of the road from Roswell Road east (near East Side Elementary School) to the entrance of Fullers Park is closed to traffic due to downed power lines and a broken utility pole, according to a notice from Cobb County government.
The county advises motorists to use Old Canton Road as an alternate to reach Roswell Road.
At 7 a.m., the county said the closure along Robinson Road stretched from Creekwood Drive to Robinson Walk. That notice was updated around 9:30 a.m., to expand the closure between Fox Hollow Parkway and the park entrance.
Stormy weather is expected again for Cobb and the north metro Atlanta area today, with a strong chance of severe thunderstorms in the afternoon.
