News Nearby: White Water Sexual Misconduct Probe; Booze at Gun Range

Rounding up the top headlines in Cobb and beyond for Thursday, Sept. 20.

 

Marietta Police are investigating allegations of inappropriate contact made toward female children in a wave pool at the White Water Amusement Park on Cobb Parkway. 

Police have a suspect but are withholding his identity and description.

The Powder Springs City Council has approved an alcohol license for the $3.5 million Governors Gun Club under construction. 

More than a few citizens have expressed concern that "alcohol and guns do not mix."

A Johns Creek High School teacher has been charged with aggravated assault, battery and false imprisonment. 

Michael Minton was arrested at the school last week, and Atlanta Police are leading the investigation.

Two male students at the Atlanta campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design were tied up, robbed and beaten in a dormitory on Wednesday. 

The victims were not seriously injured, and Atlanta Police are looking for two black male students.
