The Cobb Board of Education on Wednesday accepted the retirement request of Murdock Elementary School principal Cynthia Hanauer.
She is a longtime East Cobb resident and educator, having attended Eastvalley Elementary School and East Cobb Middle School and graduating from Wheeler High School before beginning her career in education.
