Mountain View Aquatic Center Closed Until October

The county-run facility will be undergoing renovations from July 5 to mid-October.

The Mountain View Aquatic Center won't be available to the public during the height -- and the heat -- of the summer months.

That's because the facility, located off Sandy Plains Road at 2650 Gordy Parkway, is undergoing renovations for at least the next three months, according to the Cobb County Parks, Recreation, Cultural Affairs Department.

A message on the center's website indicates the Mountain View complex is slated to re-open on Oct. 15, but the date could be sooner.

Aquarobic water exercise classes have been relocated the Cobb Central Aquatics Center on Fairground Street in Marietta, next to the Cobb Civic Center.

Other swimming lessons and lap swimming and open swimming sessions are available at the Central facility, as well as other county public aquatics facilities. Check each location for schedules.
