Good Mews Events in July
Two fundraisers this month will benefit the East Cobb cat shelter.
If you want to help the Good Mews foundation this month, there is a variety of ways to do so.
This coming Saturday, July 14, the East Cobb cat shelter is having a shredding and recycling event. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., bring old newspapers, documents, magazines, aluminum cans, and printer cartridges to the parking lot of the Good Mews facility, located at 736 Johnson Ferry Road, in the Olde Towne Shopping Center.
A $20 minimum per-car donation is asked to be made to Good Mews, which is being assisted at the event by Iron Mountain, an Atlanta-based records management and secure shredding and paper disposal company.
On July 29, Good Mews will have another Pins for Purrs fundraiser at the Brunswick Zone, 2749 Delk Road. Tickets for the bowling extravaganza, which runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., are $20 each and includes a shoe rental, two hours of bowling fun and a chance to win prizes.
The deadline for reserving a sport for Pins for Purrs is next Sunday, July 15.
